2024 Stand Down

- 8/19/2024

Members of VFW Post #3629 and Auxiliary manned a table at the recent Veterans Stand Down hosted at Pioneer Park.  The stand down event lasted more than five hours and focuses on providing support to Veterans in need, in particular our homeless community.  Joining other Veterans organizations and local businesses, members provided information on resources available to Veterans, including utilizing a VFW Veteran Support Officer to assist with VA claims.  Post Senior Vice Commander "Slick" Bacorn was assisted by other members, including Department of Alaska Officers visiting Fairbanks, throughout the day.
