Our Veterans and Active Duty personnel are our mission. Those that have paid the Ultimate Sacrifice and that have Passed are always in our heart and remberance. We support those that have Fallen as well as their Famililies.

Memorial Day Celebration

Every Memorial Day, We remember our fallen and passed, and hold a Ceromony at Birch Hill Cemetery. The weekend prior to Memorial Day, the VFW Golden Heart Post 3629 and Its Auxiliary cleans up Birch Hill Cementary and place flags on all identifiable Veteran grave sites. Your assistance with the cleaning and placing flags on Veterans grave sites and removing them the week after Memorial Day would be appreciated.

Veteran Outreach

Coming home doesn't mean the battle is over. With over 10 times the amount of veterans lost to suicide than to combat operations in the same time period, there has never been a more important time to TAKE A STAND and DO something to support our veterans!! If you or someone you know is suffering from PTSD, we have people that have shared a similar experience and are ready to help.

WELCOME TO VETERANS OF FORIEGN WARS

Alaska VFW 3629

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3629 "Golden Heart Post" is located at 324 2nd Street, Fairbanks Alaska. We received our Charter on April 1, 1940 and are named in honor of the City of Fairbanks the "Golden Heart City".

We host an Auxiliary and Canteen.  Canteen hours 7 days a week  Open at 1100 Close 2200 or later.
 
During the summer months we have Burger night on Tuesdays, 6 - 8 and Steak night on Fridays, 5 -7 pm.
